Senior Living Advisor is your advocate dedicated to making it easier for you to reach the best senior living and elder care decisions. At Senior Living Advisor, we operate from a position of respect and caring for the health and safety of seniors. With that in mind, we work hard to produce a trusting relationship built on empathy for the needs of family caregivers and for the seniors in transition. We are your senior services consultant providing access to the resources and answers you need.

Experienced advocate.

Senior Living Advisor was founded by its principal senior living consultant, Lona Newton. Lona is a dedicated and experienced senior services professional. She has worked with St. Francis Hospital as well as two senior living communities, helping seniors and their families understand their options and benefits within those systems. Lona is married and has two adult children. She is a member of Trader's Point Christian Church, and enjoys being involved in her community.

Here's what Lona has to say:

"I've seen it happen again and again: family caregivers – especially those in the "sandwich generation" (people balancing caregiving for their children and their elderly parents) – are filled with anxiety when it comes to making the right senior living and elder care decisions. The stakes are high because the health and safety of their senior loved one is at stake. But there are so many options and horror stories that they dread the thought, let alone the process, of doing the necessary research and planning.

"That's why I started Senior Living Advisor – to make senior housing and senior care less frightening and frustrating. Beyond that, I wanted to make the process easier for family caregivers and the seniors they care for."

My pledge to you:

  • I will provide superior "custom" customer service, one-on-one and tailored to your unique needs.
  • I will remain independent and will serve your needs as your advocate.
  • I will keep all affected parties informed and involved so any decisions made on behalf of the senior are made with clarity, transparency and consensus.
  • I will treat your family as my own, with empathy and comforting care."
